Monochromatic Streetwear Style With a Pop of Color

When it comes to sneakers for women, Aleali May has figured out the secret ingredients. The Califia Jordan one is feminine and streetwear-worthy. The soft leather and chenille wings make this Jordan 1 for sure a must-have retail or resell. The Green and blue colorway was perfection as she continued to design around the inspiration of her upbringing. I’m from Los Angeles, and I attended the elementary school down the street from Hillcrest Elementary where Aleali May (and loads of friends and family) Attended. What sold me on this Jordan 1 High Zoom Air CMFT Califia by Aleali May was the use of Satin. Therefore, a clever move if you ask me. The satin makes this sneaker extra fly. The shine at different angles as you walk really stands out in a beautiful way. It’s really giving Badass tomboy chic, which is also the signature of May’s personal style. 

However, I couldn’t give a proper round of applause for the design without mentioning the puffy tongue of the sneaker. OMGosh, it’s the simplest thing. For instance, the puffy tongue really plays into the chenille cloudy effect wings and continues to soften the sneaker in the right ways without coming across as too girly. This Jordan 1 Califia by Aleali May is her 3rd Jordan collab that was released in April 2021, and it truly hit all the points of the design and aesthetic. In conclusion, it’s a sneaker that everyone needs in their sneaker collection, and most importantly, it’s the sneaker that you would splurge on reselling if you took an L on the retail price.
