We love a skincare routine that works! I have a great regimen to fade hyperpigmentation with consistency. When Good Molecules sent me a PR package I was a bit skeptical about if the products would work. The packaging was great, the directions were easy to follow, and the list of ingredients that makes sense.

Since getting my skin to better conditions, I’ve felt more youthful due to the even tone and much clearer complexion. It’s also great to be receiving compliments about how glowy my skin has been from friends and family.

“Can you fade hyperpigmentation in a week?

Absolutely. The very first week of a new skincare routine usually starts with what I call the skin purge. Your skin will be reacting to new products, especially if you have sensitive skin. Don’t worry, this is when most people stop the new regimen because they hate the purge.

Ultimately, the skin purge doesn’t last long. Typically for myself, I noticed my skin purge only happened during the first 3 days of switching to using serums and exfoliators. I had a tiny breakout but I kept with this skincare routine, and by day 4 I noticed how radiant my skin appeared.

The dark spots from hyperpigmentation were slightly lighter on my cheeks than on my jawline. However, it was noticeable, and I was very happy with my results during week one.

How long does it take to fade hyperpigmentation?

With consistency and an understanding of what your skin thrives on, you can fade your dark spots at a much quicker pace.

I was able to fade my hyperpigmentation by 80% within 4 months of this skincare routine. By no means is my skin perfect, however, It’s much more even, and I can even get away with using a tinted moisturizer now!

Seriously, a tinted moisturizer is a dream come true, because it proves just how much my skin has cleared up, and that I don’t need to use concealers, and heavy foundations daily anymore.

Here’s what I used to fade hyperpigmentation on my skin 4 months:

Good Molecules Products

The Ordinary Products

Face Wash & Exfoliator

Sunscreen:

In Conclusion:

I’ve always had pretty decent eating habits, and more than enough water intake daily. I did however monitor much more closely what foods and products or environments irritated my skin. Learning your skin triggers is a huge deal when trying to get the best skin to appear.

I was very consistent every single day with this skincare routine. Even on long days, I made sure to complete my face-cleansing routine every night before bed. I made my life easier by washing and exfoliating my face while I was showering, so once I got out, I focused on the treatment.

This should go without saying, but you must use sunscreen daily. Even on cloudy, rainy days, use your sunscreen. Every serum I use would be pointless in healing hyperpigmentation if I didn’t protect my skin from sun damage — which is why dark spots are so stubborn. They aren’t being protected enough to lighten up and disappear.

Stay the course, be disciplined, and get results — not just with skincare, but with every goal!
